Modern Chiropractic however was developed in 1895 by Daniel David Palmer. He went onto to found the first chiropractic college in 1897 in Davenport, Iowa (The Palmer College of Chiropractic) which still exists today.

Chiropractic has evolved considerably since its beginning initially under the guidance of Bartlett Joshua (B.J.) Palmer (D.D Palmer’s son) and is today recognised as a healthcare profession in many countries across the world.
